Physiotherapy

At Collaborative Health Murrumbidgee, we’re passionate about helping children, young people move, grow, and thrive! Our physiotherapist, Tayla, provides personalised, evidence-based care for children up to 16 years old.

Tayla works with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, helping them build strength, coordination, and confidence in movement. She supports gross motor development, assisting children who may be delayed in sitting, crawling, walking, or running. Whether it’s improving balance, coordination, or functional mobility, Tayla provides fun, engaging, and targeted therapy to help kids move more easily and independently.

For children with neurological conditions, such as cerebral palsy or global developmental delay, Tayla offers specialised therapy to enhance mobility, strength, and function. She has completed additional training in cerebral palsy management through Monash University and provides serial casting for children following Botox treatment to support improved muscle length and movement. She also works closely with local orthotists to ensure the best possible support for children requiring orthotic intervention. Additionally, Tayla has completed training to provide DMO suits and other wearable assistive technology.

With Level 1 APA Aquatic Physiotherapy training, Tayla loves incorporating water-based physiotherapy into her sessions whenever it’s beneficial. The water provides a supportive and low-impact environment, making movement easier and more enjoyable while building strength and coordination. Aquatic therapy is particularly beneficial for children with neurological conditions, or those recovering from injury or surgery.

Tayla also has a passion for working with young athletes, treating heel and knee pain, shoulder injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. She particularly enjoys supporting gymnasts, dancers, and performing arts athletes, helping them recover from injuries, improve flexibility and strength, and optimise performance while preventing long-term issues.

She also provides physiotherapy for NDIS participants with a wide range of disabilities and developmental delays, working closely with families to support functional movement, independence, and participation in everyday activities. She treats infants from birth who may need support for positional talipes equinovarus, head shape deformities (plagiocephaly), torticollis, and other early musculoskeletal concerns.

Tayla has a special interest in hypermobility and associated syndromes, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), as well as scoliosis management for younger clients. She enjoys working with children and adolescents to improve strength, stability, and postural control, helping them manage pain, prevent injury, and enhance their ability to move with confidence.
